Learning to Cook Again

While at school, all I wanted to do when I left was become a chef. I did 4 years of Home Economics at High School, which I thoroughly enjoyed. After leaving school I had numerous interviews for Apprentice Chef jobs, but there was always that one other person that got the gig over me. The closest I got was cooking chicken at KFC for a few years in my late teens.

As mentioned in my last post, I’m now having to fend for myself for the first time in a very long time… and not wanting to survive on takeaway, I’m forcing myself to cook…again!

I must admit that at first I was not looking forward to the whole cooking thing, but now I’m getting into the swing of things… it’s quite enjoyable.

Going back to basics is good for ones soul.

On the menu tonight is chicken & green curry stir-fry on a bed of rice…. yum!
